Fosse give Anstey a hounding
Fosse are never going to win the Billy Walton Cup but a
good cup run would be nice. The first round tie for Fosse
would be against Anstey Hounds, the games between these
2 sides are always close and good football is always played.
On this occassion things were not so close as Fosse took
control of the game and have an average of 7 goals a game
for the last 3 games.
The first half was certainely closer than the second half
as Fosse put 3 past Anstey with goals from Wayne Carter,
Ryan Bayliss and Graham Jones. In reply Anstey scored the
1 goal after a mix up in defence left the Anstey attacker
with too much time on the ball and slotted the ball home.
The second half is when Fosse really took the gane to another
level. Fosse scored first and Anstey closed the defecit
by 1 straight after but this did not deter Fosse who scored
another 4 goals without reply and guaranteed their place
in the second round which is when the Division 3 teams enter
the competition.
Next up for Fosse are Throops who sit 1 place below them.
