Fosse were robbed after good performance.
Fosse kicked off on a cold morning and were dominant right from the outset but it took a mistake from the lutterworth keeper for fosse to take the lead. A poor goalkick went straight to bayliss who ran through and slotted the ball home. Barnett then stepped up with a delicate chip over the keeper and then a looping header at the far post to put fosse 3-0 up. It was soon 4-0 with Barnett completing his hat-trick, it was dubious whether he got the final touch with several players trying to force the ball over the line but we will give him the benefit of the doubt. Lutterworth scored a 30 yard free kick on the stroke of half time to make it 4-1 at the break.
Fosse were hoping to end their barron run but a couple of errors early in the half put lutterworth back in the game and the visitors were soon back on level terms and the fosse heads were visibly dropping. The game was in the balance but fosse started to get to grips with the game and put some pressure back on the opposition. Dean got the ball and went past the defender who could only stick an arm out and penalty to Fosse. Bayliss stepped up (but offered Barnett the opportunity for his hat-trick) and cooly slotted into the bottom corner. Barnett hit the bar after a flowing move which would have been up there for goal of the season. Lutterworth levelled the score with a lob and in the final minute, the game took a turn for the worse as a ball over the top was latched onto by the lutterworth striker who headed goalwards and as Jones cleared it off the line it rebounded off the post and was slotted home.
Fosse were very unlucky and they just cannot find a point from anywhere at the moment
