In sweltering conditions, Fosse opened their pre season campaign with a narrow victory over Measham Imps. With the Fosse squad featuring a number of new/potential new players, it really was a chance for everybody to show manager Hillsdon what they could do. Meaham Imps passed the ball neatly, and with the big number 9 upfront, were always a threat. Measham manager Rich Farley patrolled the touch line with authority, ensuring brother James got a good work out by playing him in a variety of positions.
Both teams struggled with the heat, and made plenty of changes through out the 90 minutes, which lead to a rather disjointed, if expected, Fosse performance. Fosse ultimately claimed the win thanks to strikes from Bayliss & Fisher (2)
Fosse now look forward to next week, for the return leg, to be played at Judge Meadow Community College, Kick Off 12:00
