Fosse retained the 'Farley Cup' with another 3-2 victory. Hillsdon continued to tinker with the squad, as he searches for a starting XI for the season curtain raiser. On a flat surface both teams passed the ball well, with Measham the more patient in possession. Fosse 'outcast' J.Farley roamed the midfield for Measham with a calm assuarance more associated with that of brother Rich 'better' Farley, and Fosse found it difficult to deal with his presence.
In parts Fosse played some delightful attacking football, with slick, quick movement opening up the Measham defence. and duly took the lead half way through the first half with a good strike from Laywood. This should have seen Fosse 'turn the screw' but they took there foot off the gas and Measham more than deserved to not only equalise, but take a half time lead.
Hillsdon rang the changes at half time, but Fosse responded slowly allowing Measham to dictate the tempo of the game. Eventually Fosse found their feet and started to cause prolems all over the pitch. Bayliss had a shout for a goal, but was cruelly denied by the referee, but persistence paid off and Fosse finally secured the win in the last 10 minutes with Hoegger & Fisher firing home
After 180 minutes hard work, and in difficult playing conditions, Fosse retained the Farley cup for another season

All at Fosse would like to thank Measham Imps and wish them the very best of luck for the forthcoming season, see you next year!
