The Indoor season finally got underway on the 23rd November with the first open meeting at the N.I.A.C. Unfortunately there were not very many participants from the Newport Harriers, however, it is proving a very popular venue with our friends from across the water. There seems to be more interest from further a field than at Newport!
Those who did compete certainly made their mark, there were wins for Matthew Lewis in the 400m, Nick Bright in the 60m, Nick Johnson in the 800m and Daniel MacKenzie in the 60m. The ladies did slightly better, Rachel Conway took a double first in the 60m and 200m, as did Rebecca Williams in her age group, whilst Georgina Trewick won the 60m and 800m.
