Welsh Junior League round 1, 26th April Carmarthen
A double header of athletics greeted the Harriers on the 26/27 April. Firstly there was the Junior Welsh League at Carmarthen on 26th April followed by the Midlands
Women's League on following day. Weather conditions mirrored those of Aberdare the previous week with rain and wind very prominent. Despite these conditions and a smaller squad
the Harriers made a good fight of the competition, once again Christopher Evans the new recruit brought his best figures down for the 1500m Under 15 boys for the second week running. Another new recruit Carina Lord set her best figures for the Under 17 women's hammer again with the problems of a slippery circle. After the days events the Harriers finished a credible fourth behind Cardiff, Brecon and
Cwmbran.
