Newport Harriers Athletic Club hosted the recent Valley League meeting held at Chepstow Race Course. The event itself ran exceedingly smoothly and was enjoyed by all the runners who appeared to enjoy the course which was totally devoid of the usual goalposts that litter most Valley League matches. The Officials of the League were impressed with the organisational ability of the Harriers (it is some years since we hosted a Valley League meeting). Some commented that we must have connections "upstairs" as even the sun turned up to watch.
Harrier vests were prominent in all of the races but on this occasion it must be the "unsung" hero's who come to the forefront in making the day successful. In particular with apt musical gratitude.
