You could see the weather conditions at Hereford were not that great, but Liam Bradley had a terrific run to win the 800m and record an impressive PB. Luke Gill ran well in the same race and also recorded a PB, Nathan Scarfi returned to the fold to record a PB and Jamie Hughes too ran strongly in the poor conditions. Emma Hennessy, Katie Hunt and Cheyenne Sinclair ran well to finish 1-2-3 in the U13 Girls 800 metres and Carwyn Penny and Edward O’Keefe were 1st and 2nd in their U11 800 metres. In the U15 race Jack Fear, who has been “under the weather” recently, produced a decent performance to show that he is recovering from his illness. Outside of Dave Proffit's squad, I was particularly impressed by Emma Ligthart, who trains with Jean’s U11s and who won the U11 Girls 800 metres convincingly in a time of 2:57.8. There was a bit of a problem in the 75m where the time keeping failed, which means it's impossible to merge the results from the two races, so I've shown them separately. Liam Bradley smashed his PB for 800m out of sight breaking the league record in the process and Luke Gill, running against strong competition, also produced a PB performance below the previous best. In the field Chloe Powell managed to smash her Discus PB by almost a meter, whilst Melissa Arthur took a first and 2 seconds in her usual tussle with Hereford's Emma Crooke. Hanna Griffith blasted out to anothre two wins, which added to Beth Hill-Howells winning the Long jump an taking the runners up spot in the High, saw the U15 Girls dominating once again even with a much weakened team. The Under 11 boys also shone on a dreary ray, Tyrone Tucker-Dixon broke two league records in the sprints with fellow Harrier Alex Cisuelo chasing him home in each race and also getting under the old mark in the 200m. Not to be out done Carwyn Penny also smashed the 800m record by nearly 5 seconds, with team mate Edward O'Keefe also slipping under the previous record, then went on to break the long jump record by 25 cm. Amelia Reynold was another record breaker in the field adding a massive 32cm to the long jump record that she already held. Under 13's saw Katie-Jane Priest and Emma Hennessy stealing the show, winning everything up to 800m and even tying in the 200m, Emma also clocked a 2nd in the long jump where it took an new league record to beat her. Kyle Arnold also set a new high jump record adding 2cm to his previous record. Ryan Morgan was a clear winner in the long jump and javelin, whilst Kyle chipped in another win the hurdles. With Heddwyn Louden close to his best winning the Discus and the Bryan Brothers fighting out their placings it was an overall strong performance from the U13 boys team.
