Sprinting gold for Newport at British Masters Championships Glyn Sutton and Lolita Byfield Moore became the fastest man and woman in Britain for their age group on a windy day in Birmingham at the British Masters Championships.
Glyn stormed his way to comfortable victories in the 100m and 200m in the M60 age group a he builds up to a defence of his world title in Italy later this year. Lolita was competing at this level for the first time and shattered her PB by half a second to take gold in the 100m in the F40 age group. In the 200m the final was split between two races. Lolita recorded the second fastest time overall but the winner came from the other race which benefited from greater wind assistance.
