The subject of Scotland's Wars of Independence with England has been extensively written about, but no inclusive book on the subject has been available until now. Scotland's First War of Independence fills the need for an accurate, illustrated account of those turbulent times.

"Sarah Crome was born in Surrey in 1966. Her background and training are in art and design and she graduated from Staffordshire Polytechnic in 1990 with BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. Her thesis was on "The Development of Tourism in Scotland".
Sarah continues to work freelance, specialising in planning, writing and designing interpretive exhibitions and publications for heritage-based organisations."
She has brought together these skills to write, design and illustrate this book, having studied Scotland's medieval history since 1988 and, with her husband and business partner Philip, has travelled extensively to study and photograph locations touched by this story.
